Beier is President of Geriatric Consultant Resources LLC.She also holds an academic appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is actively involved in teaching courses on Aging and precepting students and residents at the College of Pharmacy . Her clinical practice involves older adults in long-term care, and ambulatory settings.
